Dr Saema Umar Chaudhary

Dr chaudhary is the loveliest most helpful insightful and pro-active doctor I have ever met. She not only referred me to an HIV specialist she arranged an appointment for me the very next day and was in regular communication with that specialist during the following weeks. The HIV specialist said to me that I was lucky Dr Chaudhary had me tested for HIV (having asked my permission) and many other doctors might have overlooked this. Dr Chaudhary phoned me on many occasions, arranged appointments for me and asked other specialists to bring forward my appointments. When the hospital made a mistake with the time of my impending bone marrow test Dr Chaudhary instructed the nurse to fit me in on the following day at another hospital and arranged for the results to be sent through to her (which the nurse had said would not be possible). Dr Chaudhary phoned me to check that I had had the test and I was so grateful that, as she is leaving Barnet, I was able to thank her in person for all she had done for me, and her compassion and care. I am very sorry that she will not be part of my ongoing treatment (though she assured me I will be in excellent hands and her colleagues know all about me). Her future patients will be lucky to have her.

What is wonderful about Dr Saema Chaudhary is her utmost attention to every tiny detail and her ability to impart information to a patient in a totally comprehensible manner, even if the subject is complex. Even when she has to advise information of a serious nature she does so in a supportive and positive way. She encourages queries and is meticulous in her questioning and examinations, resulting in my having a greater understanding of the complex nature of my illness and yet coming away feeling supported and positive.
